FINDING WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. It’s Not Just Happiness — But Contentment. PART 1 — HAPPY OR CONTENT? If you asked most people what they’re looking for in life, I suspect they'd say happiness! And there’s nothing wrong with being happy. We need laughter, good moments, victories, and reasons to celebrate. Contentment is something we learn to cultivate within us. Contentment isn’t having a perfect life. It’s discovering that even an imperfect life can still be filled with purpose, peace, and the presence of God. #ForwardFriday #Contentment #HappyOrContent

Recap Video # 2

FINDING WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR It’s Not Just Happiness — But Contentment. PART 2 — WHEN COLDNESS WINS THE HEADLINES Have we noticed how sometimes it seems like coldness wins the day? Spiritual formation matters. Our inner life matters—the values we build our lives upon matter. Contentment begins when we stop measuring life only by what we can get and start considering the person we’re becoming. #SpiritualFormation #MoralCompass #ChooseGood

Recap Video # 3

FINDING WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. It’s Not Just Happiness — But Contentment.  PART 3 — THE WINDS WILL STILL BLOW. Here’s something I’ve come to appreciate about life: We can do many things right and still have some very difficult days. Sometimes we mistakenly think that if we do everything right, nothing will ever go wrong. But that’s not the promise of God. Psalm 121 reminds us that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. It’s wise to build a strong foundation with deep roots, but even then, the winds and rains will have their days. Contentment doesn’t mean we enjoy every storm. It means the storm doesn’t get the final say about who we are or where our hope rests. #DeepRoots #Faith #Resilience

Recap Video # 4

FINDING WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. It’s Not Just Happiness — But Contentment. PART 4 — IT’S NOT ABOUT THE NEXT THING. There’s nothing wrong with having goals. There’s nothing wrong with working hard, improving your circumstances, or enjoying the fruit of our labour. But if what we already have isn’t enough to bring contentment, what makes us think the next thing will do it? Contentment isn’t the absence of ambition. It’s the freedom to pursue more without despising what you already have. #Gratitude #Enough #Contentment

Recap Video # 5

FINDING WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. It’s Not Just Happiness — But Contentment. PART 5 — CONTENTMENT IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. The Apostle Paul wrote that he had learned to be content whether he had plenty or very little. He had experienced full cupboards and empty ones, open doors and difficult seasons. He had learned to be content. That means contentment is a journey. We learn it. We practice it. Sometimes we rediscover it after life has knocked us sideways. Contentment isn’t having everything we want. It’s discovering that, with God, we can face life without letting what we lack define everything we have. #ContentmentInAnyCircumstance #Faith #Hope #KeepMovingForward

We can be both, but I desire contentment as much, if not more, in my life!!!
