Forward Friday recaps one of the Christmas memories that made our house during the holiday season as special as it was. Our Charlie Brown Christmas tree, otherwise known as the Weight Watchers Christmas tree. But that tree symbolized the love and warmth our family shared for each other. It also says that the seemingly insignificant things matter too.

Be encouraged, and you can find this story and more like it in our new book, "The Things I Think... Plus A Few Other Things"........

The little things—like hanging one old ornament, lighting a candle, baking a certain cookie, or hearing a familiar song—may seem insignificant, but they trigger nostalgia, comfort, and belonging. These tiny actions tie people together across years and generations, helping families and friends feel grounded and connected.

The Christmas story shows that Jesus came for the seemingly insignificant ones because His birth was first announced to shepherds—people who were considered low-status and unimportant in society.

By choosing them before kings, leaders, or the wealthy, the story makes it clear that Jesus came for ordinary, overlooked, and humble people, showing that everyone matters to God.

Because the little things matter....
